Reworking
We implement single BGAs for our customers, we also have the possibility to rework, with our modern rework station.
With our ERSA soldering station PL550 we can place single complex components such as for example BGAs (FPGA, Flash, RAM or CPU) onto a board or desolder existing ones. In order to do so, the respective component is only locally and by infrared heated up to the needed soldering temperature. This prevents surrounding components from being heated up and thus from being damaged. Thanks to the split-optics used, components can also be placed very precisely onto the board and then fixed later on by vapor-phase soldering. This makes the rework station the ideal complement to manual or automated assembly of complete components.
